Frequently Asked Questions

How is the jewellery made?

The jewellery is made from a combination of hand made and cast parts. All parts of finished by hand so slight variations will occur. All jewellery, earring wires and fittings are made from precious metal; silver, 18ct yellow gold, gold plate on silver and gold leaf. Oxidised parts have been treated with a chemical to
give the surface a black or very dark grey appearance.

What is the delivery time of the jewellery?

Estimated delivery time for jewellery purchased from the online shop is 3-5 working days.

Special orders or commissions typically take 4-6 weeks.

However please let me know if you have a closer deadline as I will always try and meet it if possible.

How is the jewellery posted?

Jewellery is posted by Royal Mail Special delivery so is fully insured. For more information please see Post and Packaging

What if I change my mind?

If you are not completely  happy with your purchase it is possible to exchange it for another piece or a credit note within 28 days. You will be responsible for returning the jewellery by Special delivery.

Unfortunatley it is not possible to exchange jewellery which has been made to order.

What is the best way to care for my jewellery?

Each piece of jewellery comes in a box wrapped in acid free tissue paper. When it is not being worn keeping it in the box wrapped in the tissue paper will slow down the tarnishing process.

Avoid spraying perfumes, hairsprays or other chemicals onto the jewellery.

Avoid swimming as chlorine may damage the jewellery.

Eventually most pieces which are well loved and worn will need a clean. You can do this with a soft tooth brush and washing up liquid.

If you need more than that then we recommend a soft silver cloth or on silver (not on gold plate) you can use Goddards Silver Foam which is a gentle cleaner but still needs rinsing thoroughly.
